Jeremiah 25:10-12

¹⁰ Moreover, I will ^[a](A)make the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the ^(B)sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp, to perish from them. ^11 (C)This whole land will be a waste place and an object of horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon ^(D)seventy years.

Punishment Against Babylon

¹² ‘Then it will be ^(E)when seventy years are fulfilled, that I will ^(F)punish the king of Babylon and that nation,’ declares Yahweh, ‘for their iniquity, even the land of the Chaldeans; and ^(G)I will make it an everlasting desolation.
